The Smith Cousins of Boca

We were able to spend Thanksgiving with Craig's brother and family in Boca Raton, Florida this year.  The kids played non stop all week.  Cade learned Italian and how to skateboard.  Catcher enjoyed his cousin Griffin's Star Wars figures and puzzles.  And Canon, Colton, Griffin, and Holland pretty much played football and baseball for four days straight on the beach.

I was able to snap a few pics of our lovely cousins while we were there.  What a beautiful family!

Aunt Christy.  So pretty and a fabulous hostess.

Catcher the Great

Crazy kid.

The Carpenter Crew

It's been awhile.  It might have something to do with the fact that I have four boys, three of which play sports.  Can I get an AMEN?!  As the sports craze is slowing down (for the moment), I am once again finding time to shoot some photos!  Here are a few shots from a recent shoot with my sister's kids.  It was rushed, but fun.

ENID AND CATCHER FEELING PICTURE PERFECT

Enid, my niece, stopped by one morning to show me her "dog ears" and new skirt.  She sure did look pretty, and I think she knew it.

Catcher spent the day wearing his bow tie that he found in his closet.  Then he volunteered to pose for pictures for at least 20 minutes.  What a fun day for me!

NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS

It's always special when I get a chance to photograph a family who I have known for years and have watched grow and mature.  These are some pictures from a couple of shoots I did recently for two families whose kids have literally grown up alongside mine.

These guys decided to do a surprise photo for mom, who happens to be one of my very good friends, for her birthday.  Such a sweet thought and effort on their part, but, oh my, the secrets and little white lies I had to tell just about killed me!  In the end, we pulled it off, and mom, Allyson, was very happy.

I love that Brock is sporting his Nikes.  This is the one detail dad forgot, shoes.  But this kid lives in his Nikes, so I think it was perfectly appropriate.

The Meyers, Eddie, Amy, Ean, and Cole, have been my neighbors for seven years.  Love this family!

Amy picked the location, a beautiful street she passed every morning on the way to school.  Just gorgeous fall colors.

Cole.  Love this boy.  He has been a good buddy to my oldest son since kindergarten.  Man, has he grown!  *sniff*

BIG brother, Ean.  Bigger than dad!

Brotherly love.
